 Access
If you live an area where connecting to the WebTV® service requires a toll call, you
can still get economical access to the WebTV Network™ via USWP with your "USE AN ISP"
(Internet Service Provider - USWP)
feature. This feature lets you connect to the Internet through USWP, and then access
the WebTV service.
With USWP as your ISP, WebTV reduces the cost of your monthly subscription to WebTV.
Once you set up an account with USWP, you will need the following information to
access the WebTV Network:
- Your USWP login name (this is case-sensitive)
- Your USWP password (this is case-sensitive)
- Our local dial-up access phone number:

- A local backup dial-up access number. You will need this number in case the
first number is busy. Then the WebTV receiver will automatically dial your backup
number so you don't have to wait to connect. Fortunatly, with USWP, you'll probably
never use this feature!
Once you receive this information, you need to register for Use an ISP on screen via
WebTV. You'll just select "Account" from the Web Home page and choose "Use an ISP"
which will take you through step-by-step instructions.
